US seizes Iranian weapons likely bound for Yemen
At least one of the shipments was seized off the coast of Oman in a vessel of dubious registration. Iran's proxies in Yemen appear to be losing their fight with the government and the Saudi coalition that is attacking them. But it does point out that Iran is not much of a peace partner in the region.
The rifles, machine guns and rocket launchers were probably bound for Yemen's Houthi rebels, officials said, adding that it was at least the third shipment seized by the U.S. in two months.
