The perils of an unscripted candidate

Washington Post:

The GOP presidential front-runner's position on the issue started morphing quickly after he participated in a town hall on MSNBC.
As inane as some of his positions were, what they really demonstrate is a candidate who has failed to plan and adopt sustainable positions on policies.  He has been described as a liberal caricature of a conservative and that seems to fit.

As bad as he looked after this episode, it had done little to shake the confidence of rabid backers who do not seem to care what he says.  He seems to be a candidate sustained by attitude instead of policies.
