Republicans hoping to halt Donald J. Trump’s march to the nomination emerged from the weekend newly emboldened by his uneven electoral performance and by some signs that he may be peaking with voters.
Trump grossly underperformed his polling in Saturday's contests suggesting that he was in fact vulnerable after a poor debate performance and aggressive attacks by opposing candidates as well as outside groups.  He can expect to see more negative ads as a result.
