Blacks say they don't get fair shot at farm jobs

NY Times:

Workers Claim Racial Bias in Farms’ Hiring of Immigrants

Americans, mostly black, who live near large-scale farms say they are illegally discouraged from applying for work and treated badly by employers who prefer foreigners’ malleability.
I have watched Hispanics work and they seem to be very motivated and eager.  I suspect there may be a hierarchy  that pushes the work effort.  Blacks may not have same authority figure to push their work effort which puts more responsibility on the person doing the hiring.  Someone needs to do a study on the productivity of the two groups.  This could also have an impact on the proposed immigration bill.
