Developer of North Dakota oil hits Obama energy policy

Plenty of energy conferences start in the wonky policy weeds and stay there.
That wasn’t the case with this week’s Williston Basin Petroleum Conference in North Dakota, which featured a big dose of raw presidential politics.

“Why is energy such a high-level issue this year?,” said Harold Hamm, the CEO of Continental Resources and chairman of Romney’s energy policy advisory team, on Thursday. “It is pretty simple: because of the failure of Obama’s energy policy.”
The billionaire Hamm, whose company is a major player in North Dakota’s booming Bakken oil formation, is also a major donor to the Romney effort. Hamm this year gave $985,000 to Restore Our Future, the super-PAC supporting Romney’s presidential campaign.
He said Obama’s policies aimed at developing renewable energy are based on a false notion of oil and natural-gas “scarcity” that has been overtaken by the U.S. production boom.
“Romney has a policy of abundance; the other one is one of scarcity,” Hamm said....
You can find a video of portions of his speech here.   I agree with him and I am not a major donor to Romney. In fact what is more important than the fact of his donation is why he supports Romney and not Obama and he makes that pretty clear.  If you vote for a democrat you are voting for a policy of scarcity regardless of that democrats position because he is going to support an administration and leadership who will impose their policy of scarcity.  That is why you should vote against a Democrat at every opportunity.
