Democrats losing PR message on health care
Chris Cillizza:
Democrats are losing the public relations fight over the health care overhaul currently being debated in Congress, according to data in the new Washington Post-ABC News poll. Majorities believe the costs of their own health care as well as the nation's overall health care will rise if the bill becomes a law. Just 37 percent believe the quality of care they receive will be better under the new plan as compared to 53 percent who said the care would be superior if the status quo was maintained....If Democrats think it is a tough sell now, it will only get tougher if the pass this mess. If they thought they faced some angry voters in August, they should not be surprised that the voters will be even angrier that their wishes were ignored. Democrats should be prepared for a real thumping unless things turn around dramatically.
