Truther still working for Obama

The Hill:

The White House would not say whether the White House's green-jobs czar, who has been linked to Sept. 11 conspiracy theorists, continues to enjoy the confidence of the president, but an official said he is still a part of the administration.

Van Jones, the president's special adviser for green jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), has come under fire this week for using an obscenity to describe Republicans and for signing a petition to get Congress to investigate whether the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, were an inside government job.

...
There are 12 pages of comments to this short article and Jones gets little support. One commenter says, "What a disgusting turn of events. A senior member of the current administration accuses the US Government of complicity in the largest single murder of American civilians in history and the Joker continues to support him."

That seems to capture the flavor of most. It is hard to imagine what is keeping this guy employed where he is. Perhaps Obama is too focused on his vacation and his speech next week to notice he has an avowed communist "truther" on his staff. Gibbs should let him know.

    What We Do
Using the Internet, we will enable our members to speak in unison, with an amplified political voice. We will keep them informed about the most pressing issues for Black people in America and give them ways to act. We will lobby elected representatives using email, the telephone, and face-to-face meetings. We'll bring attention to the needs and concerns of Black folks by holding coordinated events in different parts of the country, running TV and print advertisements, and demanding that the news media cover our issues. We will also work with other groups—online efforts and other organizations that are doing related work—to magnify our impact
