When it comes to hypocrisy and judges these guys will do what ever it takes to get their ideologues on the bench.
While the White House has insisted President Obama's Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor simply chose her words poorly when she said in a 2001 speech that a "wise Latina woman" would make "better" judicial decisions than a white male, records of her past show that her language on the subject has been consistent throughout the years. There is more on the concerns of several senators including Sen. I think you'd likely appreciate the National Review cover for a little lighter subject material. Specifically, the one portraying the "wise Latina." You can probably find it on Google or in Newsy's recent video about the cover. I know I appreciated it, and I agree in large part with what you said here.
ReplyDeleteWhen you say the liberals will do whatever it takes to get their ideologues on the bench, I think it bears consideration that conservatives (and pretty much every other party, were they given the political power to do it) would do the exact same thing. It's just human nature under the harsh light of politics.
