'Evil UK' substitute for 'Great Satan'?

BBC:

he Foreign Office is to make a protest to the Iranian ambassador in London after his country's supreme leader called the UK government "evil".

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei made the comments as he appealed for an end to protests about election results.

He said Western nations were showing "their enmity against the Islamic Republic system and the most evil of them is the British government".

Ambassador Rasul Movaheddian has been summoned to a Foreign Office meeting.

BBC political correspondent James Landale said the most senior officials at the Foreign Office wanted to find out from Mr Movaheddian why Ayatollah Khamenei had attacked the British government in this way.

The suspicion at the Foreign Office is that Britain is being used as "proxy" for the United States for "domestic rhetorical purposes", because Iran does not want to endanger its improving relations with America, added our correspondent.

What improving relations are they talking about. The Iranian government has already accused the US of meddling after Obama's weaselly statement avoiding any support for the people protesting. I think we still maintain our title as the "Great Satan" while the UK is merely "Evil."

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
