Good news for the auto industry
In a burst of spontaneous patriotism and an attempt to help the ailing auto business I traded in my 1991 Ford Ranger for a 2008 Ford F-150 crew cab XLT. I still hated to get rid of the Ranger. I have not had to take it to the shop in over a year and it still runs good.
But, the desperate situation of the auto companies requires some sacrifices and I would rather give them money for a new vehicle than give them tax money. Perhaps others can take up this suggestion and help reduce their inventory before the end of year. The new truck while much bigger gets about the same gas mileage as the old one and it does have some modern conveniences.
I am still going to miss that Ranger though.
