Do not surrender to the party of surrender

James Robbins:

2010 = 1994

That is, if the Republicans have any strategic sense at all. They should start working tomorrow to come up with the next election plan. The Democrats are going to overreach in 2009, they won't be able to help it....

... Once they begin to implement "change," the American people will experience a major case of buyer's remorse. If the GOP can present a principled, optimistic, sensible alternative, they will prevail. But this will require some smart, gutsy leadership, which has been in short supply lately.
It is time to make the Democrats take responsibility for the mess they have made of the economy. It is also time to resist their desires for defeat in Iraq and elsewhere. The Republicans can come back strong if they quit acting like stoic punching bags for Democrats and start fighting the kind of change the Democrats want to impose on this country.

I would not waste any time congratulating Democrats on their victories. I would begin working today to defeat them in 2010 and 2012. I would give them the same treatment they gave President Bush after 2004.

It is a critical time to be critical of the evils of liberalism.
