Absconder privacy rights?

I have to admit to being surprised that someone who has lost their immigration appeal and has been ordered out of the country has a right to privacy about that result. I learned this when libs started complaining about the outing of Obama's aunt.

The fact that we have so much trouble finding absconders now makes more sense. We keep it a secret. While these people do make the NCIC computer and if they happen to get arrested it is possible they may be turned over to ICE, assuming they are not in some place like San Francisco.

I can think of no rational reason for giving people who have been found here illegally a right of privacy that makes it easier for them to stay here illegally. Those who believe in immigration enforcement should change this law most ricki tick. If Democrats want to be on the side of the absconders, then that is a fight we should welcome.

The person responsible for outing Obama's aunt deserves whistle blower protection instead of the witch hunt that Democrats have responded with. It is just another example of the lack of seriousness the Democrats have for immigration enforcement.

BTW, Obama had the right answer on people being required to obey the immigration laws. It is typical of his supporters to want to criminalize the whistle blower in this case. It is another example of the brown shirt tactics that Obama supporters have demonstrated in this campaign.

Update: The Washington Post looks at the issue and says that Homeland Security is looking into whether the disclosure is a violation. It is clearly a fairer presentation of the issue than the liberal blogs. I still see no reason to have a privacy policy for someone who has lost their case.

Mark Levin notes another term for the aunt's status is "fugitive alien." Democrats are real believers in fugitive alien privacy rights at this point.
