The dog who saved the newborn baby
CNN:
Update: The girl was 14 when she gave birth which suggest she was very likely 13 when she became pregnant. I think it is safe to say that someone who is having sex with a 13 year old is not a good candidate for responsible behavior awards.
A dog sheltered a newborn baby abandoned by its 14-year-old mother in a field in rural Argentina until the boy was rescued, a doctor said Friday.I did a post on this already, but it is such a remarkable story I thought it was worth another. The dog is a hero to many now. Hopefully that baby will find some loving parents to nurture it. It is clear that its mother and the sperm donor should not be candidates for that job.A resident of a rural area outside La Plata called police late Wednesday night to say that he had heard the baby crying in a field behind his house.
The man went outside and found the infant lying beside the dog and its six newborn puppies, Daniel Salcedo, chief of police of the Province of Buenos Aires, told CNN.
The temperature was a chilly 37 degrees, Salcedo said.
The dog had apparently carried the baby some 50 meters from where his mother had abandoned him to where the puppies were huddled, police said.
"She took it like a puppy and rescued it," Salcedo said. "The doctors told us if she hadn't done this, he would have died."
"The dog is a hero to us."

The "sperm donor" may not have known she was pregnant at all. women who abandone their kids tend to be hiding the pregnancy from everyone. otherwise someone will ask what happened, including the "sperm donar". we do not know anything about him, and since he does not control her actions, we do not have any idea whether he would be a good dad, a bad dad, or even whether he would want to be a dad.
ReplyDeleteyou may think i am wrong, but i dont see the connection between the mothers action and the fitness of the father except if you view all fathers as being bad or unecessary and write them off wholesale.
many many men would be glad to be fathers and have custody, but between abortions and this occaisional kind of insanity, as well as just not being told, a heck of a lot never get to be that.
bout the only ones that really do know are the dads who are married (and 30% of them are wrong), and the dads who someone want to peg for support (for which 30% of them are wrong).
thats just my wordy two cents...
