Congressman from Twitter updates on power shortage in Congress
John Culberson uses Twitter to give moment by moment accounts of the Democrats trying to turn the lights off on the debate over their non energy policy. He is a Republican from the Houston area facing a deep pockets Democrat this fall.
GOP.gov has the story on the Democrats turning off the lights and the CSPAN cameras as they fled Washington and a debate on drilling they fear.

This report said many of the tourist in the gallery cheered the speeches on drilling.
BTW, I know how these guys feel. My power went off about 1:30 and did not come back on until 4 p.m.

...Who knew Dennis Kucinich would be the only Democrat willing to listen? Ted Poe is also from the Houston area. Poe became famous for his unusual sentences when he was a district judge.
