What to do with Sen. *
Levenworth Street, a Nebraska blog looks at where Obama could use Sen. * (aka, Sen. Hagel) and finds him unqualified for most top positions. I agree with his assessment, and I am sure he has followed Sen. *'s career much closer than I have.
He is a guy who benefited from his political connections to get a cellular phone territory which made him rich. He used that to bootstrap his way into the Senate, where he was conservative on most issues , but completely clueless on the war in Iraq. Having been shown to be dead wrong about the surge, he wants to leverage that into some position with an equally clueless Obama.
Obama will probably take a pass if he is smart.
Hat tip to High Plains Patriot who has a tribute this week to those, unlike Hagel, who did not waiver.
The * designates those registering less than one percent in presidential preference polls.
