South Africa's new apartheid "Expropriation"
The Expropriation Bill has negative consequences for South Africa and will leave the country lagging behind successful economies, a group of concerned parties said on Wednesday.It appears that some in South Africa want to do for their country what Mugabe has done for Zimbabwe--turn it into an economic basket case. This is not smart. It is based on the "we're owed" mentality which thinks that the way to prosperity is through taking from others rather than building it through hard work and smart investments. Ripping off producers and running them off will make South Africans poorer.The interim committee for the defence of property rights said the bill was based on the perception that white South Africans had no moral right to own land.
The group, which includes organisations and political parties such as Agri SA, AfriForum, the Afikanerbond and the Democratic Alliance, said it would address the implications of the bill at a number of conferences in July.
Other members include the FW de Klerk Foundation, the ACDP, the Agricultural Employers Organisation, Freedom Front Plus, the Afrikanerfront and the National Taxpayers Union.
It said the expropriation of white-owned property at less than the market value was not justifiable.
"The bill is based on the false perception that white South Africans have no moral right to ownership of land in particular, but also property in general, as everything they possess is the result of wrongful deprivation," the group said.

excelent. and you see the tip of the iceberg. its even worse than watso n the media. i cant sleep at night. i cant raise my kids here. but alas, we were poor during apartheid, but poor and white now is suicide . we cant get out. too ewpensive. ps. we are college grads. its a race selective thing.
