Only 21 % favor mortgage bailout bill

As the Senate inches toward passage of a $300 billion bill to help homeowners facing foreclosure, a new Rasmussen Reports national survey shows that only 21% of voters think the federal government should provide such assistance.With the kind of results shown in this poll you have to wonder why it would be attractive to legislators in an election year. The Democrats have been effective demagogues on the issue and many Republicans have been cowed into silence, but the voters are not buying the Dem spin.
