Obama wants to return to strategic defensive against terrorist
Jack Tapper reports on an interview with Obama where he said he wanted to get back to prosecuting terrorist like we did in the 1993 world Trade Center bombing. McCain correctly attacks this as the failed policy of the past.
What should be clear about this policy is that it did not deter terrorist from future attacks as, for example, the 9-11 attacks. This strategy also provided the enemy with vital intelligence information about our our sources and methods of following him, which allowed him to hide his intent for the 9-11 attacks.
But what should be stunningly obvious is that it a strategic defensive that only works after the fact of an attack. You have to wait until the enemy has killed more Americans. Since we have gone on offense, al Qaeda has had no successful attacks on US non combatants. going back to the Obama-Clinton strategy will get a lot of Americans killed.
I think voters who are aware of this difference will vote against Obama.
