The tort bar wing in Federal prison

The Wall Street Journal comments on yet another guilty plea by a class action lawyer:

...

... Weiss's corner of the tort bar has enriched itself for decades on the backs of shareholders who took home a pittance while the lawyers became megamillionaires.

This might be the biggest pay disparity in the country -- that between class members and the lawyers who purportedly represent them. But you won't hear that from Democrats who bray about executive pay and the "little guy." The tort lawyers have seen to that by sharing a percentage of their riches, almost like a service fee, with the politicians who prevent any meaningful legal reform.

Too often these cases often looked like a legal extortion racket. With the trial lawyer's ability to drive of the cost of litigation companies usually agreed to settle for what their defense cost would be.

Obama has often spoken on the disparity of pay between some CEOs and employees. This is a disparity he never mentions and it is much more perverse.

The Examiner finds a correlation between the donations of the guilty and the votes to prevent law suit abuse.
