Richardson's unimportant endorsement of Obama

The media went ga-ga today over an endorsement by a failed candidate who got no significant votes in the presidential race before dropping out. Dan Balz of the Washington Post says the endorsement is important for five reasons none of which are particularly important. Even Real Clear Politics gave the endorsement significant linkage.

In fact he and most of the other pundits left out the only importance of the endorsement. It allowed the Obama media to change the subject from the foolishness of Rev. Wright. It won't last. Wright and his church will be sticking around and stinking things up for Obama for some time.

The only way Richardson distinguished himself during the Democrat race was he adopted a more ridiculous Iraq policy than Obama. His policy was not even an orderly rout much less a retreat. Like other Democrats he swallowed the emotional nonsense of the anti war left rather than come up with a real counterinsurgency plan for dealing with the enemy.
