Osprey in action in Iraq

MNFI:

Iraqi Army Soldiers from the 27th Iraqi Infantry Brigade, 7th Iraqi Infantry Division prepare to go on a patrol March 18, 2008, in the Hawron Wadi, which is just east of Baghdadi, Iraq, after exiting a MV-22 Osprey. The IA has been training with Marines and Navy SEALS to conduct helo-borne operations such as patrols and cache sweeps. Photo by Gunnery Sgt. I think this is the first photo I have seen of the Osprey participating in a combat operation in Iraq. It appears that it is certainly being tested in how it handles dust. Click on the image for a larger view.
