Iranians back Bush doctrine on elections

As Iran's brief election campaign for parliament heats up, a new public opinion poll shows that the vast majority of Iranians would like to directly elect their supreme leader in a free vote -- and be able to replace him.This is of course what President Bush has been pushing for in the Middle East and what the religious bigots in charge of Iran cannot allow, because they would be removed from power. More and more of Iranians are demonstrating for this and against the fashion police of the religious despots.

But now, almost nine out of 10 voters surveyed want the top political position to be accountable to voters, the poll found.
