Defending the angry black preachers

E.J. Dionne uses an example from Martin Luther King who said some ignorant and stupid things about the war in Vietnam that sound like something John Kerry said. He does it not to excuse Rev. Wright but to explain the tradition of anger.

Liberals have made a mistake by not confronting these ranting ministers of hate. They have allowed them to indoctrinate generations of black youth in victimization and hatred. It is time to confront the evils and perversity of black liberation theology and make it clear that there is no room for that kind of racism.

Teaching people bigotry and hate is something Muslims do too much of in places like Saudi Arabia. We should expect better from Americans what ever their color.
