Pakistan election reset for Feb. 18

Speaking of tantrums, CNN reports, " The ensuing violence caused more than $200 million in damages and claimed at least 58 lives, according to the government." That is not a mature reaction to tragedy or violence.
Pakistan's Election Commission on Wednesday rescheduled a planned parliamentary election until Feb. 18, a six-week delay that opposition parties slammed as an attempt by President Pervez Musharraf's ruling party to avoid almost certain defeat if the vote were held next week as scheduled.This delay is unfortunate, but not fatal. Bhutto's followers need to regain their composure and replace tantrums with mature arguments if they hope to succeed. They also need to develop some new leaders. Bhutto's husband is a disaster. If he does not know that al Qaeda is his enemy, he is not smart enough to lead a major party. His history of corruption is also a serious problem. The party needs to rise above him.
