Taliban humiliate German woman by making her dress in funny clothes

BBC:

Private TV stations in Afghanistan have broadcast a video appearing to show a female German aid worker who was kidnapped in Kabul on Saturday.

The woman, who looked pale and whose head was covered with a white scarf, identified herself as Christina Meier.

Speaking in the local language Dari, she said: "I am OK".

A turbaned man in dark glasses then appeared, and said Mrs Meier would not be harmed, before calling for the release of "innocent prisoners".

The names of these prisoners would be sent to television stations later, he said.

"We are not the Taleban, we are not bad people," he added.

...

Whoever this guy claims to be, he is clearly a bad person or he would not be kidnapping innocent people and making them wear funny clothes in a video. Women who are kidnapped by the Islamist religious bigots should refuse to wear these ridiculous costumes. In fact if they attempt to force them, they should start removing clothes when the video starts. This would frustrate their propaganda value which is the main purpose. If they can get no propaganda value from the kidnappings they would have less incentive to do them.

BTW, the Marines who were taken captive by the Iranians when the embassy was illegally seized did what I suggested and the Iranians were never able to use them for propaganda. They also used some rather creative insults to describe their captors which challenged the captors grasp of the English language.
