Maliki plea for time omitted from NY Times story

Fausta has more on the media manipulation of Maliki's statement as well as comments on the media treatment of Osama's new daughter in law. She appears to be someone who has marinated thoughts about commitment more than once without coming to any conclusion.
Nouri al-Maliki may have provided a push for Congress to get more aggressive with the White House over troop withdrawals in Iraq yesterday. However, the Prime Minister sounded a rather contradictory note, expressing confidence in Iraq's ability to secure itself while pleading for more time and pledging more progress on political reform. The New York Times reports on only one of these contradictory statements....In securities law this is known as a material failure to disclose. Some may call it context. What ever you call it, the NY Times omission is tantamount to a fraud on the public. It fits with their agenda of pushing for the defeat of the US in Iraq.
