Sadr boogies out of Baghdad

Gateway Pundit:

Anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr fled Iraq to Iran two weeks ago anticipating the US surge in Baghdad:

Anti-American Iraqi cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of one of the nation's most powerful militias, has fled to Iran, Cable News Network reported Tuesday evening, citing senior U.S. administration sources.

According to CNN, al-Sadr left Iraq two to three weeks ago, the sources said.

Al-Sadr is fearful for his life as the U.S. troop surge approaches, according to the sources cited by CNN. The report also said the sources are reporting "fractures" in al-Sadr's group.
ABC says he is concerned about JDAM's dropping in uninvited....

Captain's Quarters wonders how Pelosi and pal Murtha will explain this one as they vote to surrender.
This is evidence of how fragile these organizations are. It is also evidence of how easy it is for weak thugs like this to panic Democrats. Sadr knows that he cannot defeat US troops and that with Iraqi troops taking over Baghdad his game is over. Since the announcement of the surge there has been abject panic by two of the competing forces al Qaeda and Sadr's militia. I guess that is why Democrats are so desperate to surrender. They are afraid we might win before they get the defeat they have been hoping for.

Perhaps he can get some dental work done while he is visiting in Iran.
