In 1968 I spent several weeks as assistant commander of the 3rd Marine Division Communication Center where I saw roughly half of the messages that came through the center every 24 hours. If Kerry was right about atrocities by US forces some of them would have surfaced in that message traffic. There were none. I also spent several weeks with Mike Company 3/3 as XO. During my entire time with a rifle company along the DMZ I never saw anything approaching the conduct described by Kerry. Kerry's insult to our honor will always be remembered as well as his refusal to acknowledge his errors.

Liberals do themselves no favor by assuming that their political opponents are stupid or venal. Nor is their victim or vicious meme description of the troops doing them any good. Then there is the concept of honor that Kerry and much of the media never even comprehended when they looked at the motivation of the Swift vets.
