Islamic perverts responsible to soilders' torture murder
The two American soldiers whose mutilated bodies were recovered earlier this week near Baghdad were likely captured alive, though possibly wounded, after an attack and were killed later by insurgents after a hasty trial, military officers familiar with an investigation said Friday. There is more. If organizations like CAIR wonder why there is less respect for Islam in this country and around the world events like this are one reason. For some it is a torture murder death cult that mutilates corpses in the name of Islam. How can anyone respect that? How can Muslims glorify that? How can they remain silent when this is done in the name of their religion? If these perverts do not represent their religion why are they not shouting that at every opportunity?Evidence gathered so far indicates that Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston, and another soldier survived a firefight June 16 and were taken by insurgents to a hideout in the area.
There they were tried by a hurriedly convened Islamic court and killed, execution-style, according to an officer familiar with the Army inquiry in Iraq.
Though insurgents have not issued a videotape or other evidence of the killings, U.S. investigators say a tape could still emerge. That statement is based on a pattern set by the insurgent group suspected of abducting the soldiers, officials said.
The military has delayed issuing a report about the capture of Menchaca and Pfc. Thomas Tucker, 25, of Madras, Ore., in part to withhold details that, upon release, may jeopardize the intense manhunt under way for the killers.
"We are on the hunt for the people who did this. There are good leads we are following up on," said Lt. Col. Michelle Martin-Hing, a spokeswoman for the military command in Baghdad.
Menchaca's family has been anxious to learn the facts about his abduction. In particular, some family members have said they want to know why the two soldiers and a comrade who was slain in the firefight were apparently alone in a dangerous place, vulnerable to attack.
One family member has been quoted in the New York Times as saying that military officials had told the family that the men died in the initial gunbattle, not after being abducted. But that account was disputed by an officer familiar with the investigation in Iraq.
