US destroys al Qaeda car bomb facility in Haditha

Bloomberg:

Coalition aircraft today destroyed an al-Qaeda complex, including a car-bomb factory, near Haditha in Iraq's western al-Anbar province, the U.S. military said.

U.S.-led ground troops raided the 12-building complex on the Euphrates River, discovering weapons and explosives and five vehicles intended for use as car bombs, the military said. The complex was destroyed by at 4:24 a.m. local time, after soldiers left the facility, according to an e-mailed statement.
