Latest Rita forecast says storm may make landfall with 145 winds

Houston Chronicle Scienceguy:

The National Hurricane Center's most recent forecast is sobering, to say the least.

The agency suggests Rita will now make landfall at 145 mph, the same intensity at Katrina. There are also unconfirmed reports that the pressure inside Rita has dropped to 900 millibars, simply a fantastically intense number.
