Should Republicans go ahead and add Supreme Court Justices to head off Democrats

Democrat leaders respond to tragedy of Katrina with hysteria and name calling

Nancy Pelosi has said she will not name any Democrats to joint committee to look into the problems that occurred since Katrina made land fall. She did not say if she would hold her breath and stamp her feet until she got what she wanted. The there is Harry Reid:

An incredibly fatuous statement from Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid.

“Katrina makes it clear this government has failed,” Reid said. “We must find out why immediately to make sure the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina never happens again.”

While the emergency response could undoubtedly have been better (on many levels), I’d love to see the government plan that will prevent devastation from something like this....

If the Democrats have any ideas on stopping hurricane damage, they should hold back by avoiding serving on the joint committee that is more focused on looking into the governments reaction to the damage, which is something tht is within our control.
