Bush is left's designated scapegoat

MUST EVERYTHING BE BUSH'S FAULT?: I know I shouldn't be surprised, but I'm still taken aback by the lengths to which some on the left will go to try and blame this president. Thankfully, Danielle Crittenden provides the laundry list so I don't have to.

But here's one Crittenden missed: Amy Branham, the mother Army Sgt. Jeremy Smith and a member of Cindy Sheehan's contingent in Crawford, blames President Bush for her son's death in February 2004. Except Branham's son wasn't killed in Iraq, he died in a car accident in Texas:

She [Branham] said her son never would have been at Fort Hood, near where he died, had he not been going to a war that she now believes is "illegal and unjust."

The willingness to blame Bush for random occurances, acts of terror like 9/11, and acts of nature like the one just witnessed in the Gulf is symptomatic of a partisanship so severe it borders on a psychosis.

It is interesting how opponents of the President have made him almost omnipotent. But if Bush could really cause hurricanes, wouldn't he be smart enough to have them wipe out the axis of evil for us so we do not have to put our forces at risk? He is at least blessed with domestic enemies with low functioning powers of logic.

Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
